Last night saw one of those painfully trendy 'pop-up boutiques', er, pop up at London’s swish St Martins Lane Hotel. The La Tulipe store celebrates the latest concoction from Byredo, the Swedish scent sensation founded by pro-basketball player-turned-perfumer (no, really), Ben Gorham.
The temporary outlet will stock La Tulipe, an ingenious mix of rhubarb, cyclamen, natural tulip and vetiver, alongside other modern classics from the house including Fantastic Man (created in collaboration with the uber-trendy magazine of the same name), Green and Gypsy Water.
The store will stand from 7 April to 31 May, before it reverts to its former incarnation as an outlet for over-priced hotel nicknacks.
